Save Myself

My dreams keep telling me
Things I don’t want to believe
Last night there was a storm heading our way.
And you were nowhere to be seen.

The winds picked up but I searched on
Little did I know you were gone
Soon the ocean waters started to rise
If I don’t find you soon I’m going to die

But if you had told me
You weren’t going to be around anymore
And if you had shown me
The note you left when you walked out the door
Then I wouldn’t be wondering around
Searching for something that will never be found
Then I could go on and save myself

I watch the water as it covers the ground
It won’t be long before I start to drown
But if there’s one thing that I’d want to say
Without you I’d rather be dead anyway
